Senior Assistant Director – Advancement Communications

About the role

The Corporate Communications Office at NTU seeks a senior communications professional to lead donor and alumni communications and serve as the university’s social media editor. This strategic, hands‑on position supports fundraising and alumni engagement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute integrated communications plans for fundraising and alumni campaigns.
• Create high‑quality content for print and digital channels, including impact reports, donor appeals, alumni newsletters, and social media posts.
• Manage and grow social media channels, ensuring a consistent editorial voice and brand alignment.
• Collaborate with advancement, alumni engagement offices, and academic units to source and tell compelling impact stories.
• Maintain editorial standards and oversee external creative vendors.
• Support fundraising drives and giving‑day initiatives with persuasive, audience‑appropriate content.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in communication, journalism or a related field.
• 10‑12 years of experience in communications, editorial, or content strategy.
• Prior experience in advancement, philanthropy, alumni relations, or higher‑education communications preferred.
• Proven ability to produce clear, tailored content across multiple platforms.
• Strong project‑management and prioritisation skills.
• Effective stakeholder engagement in a dual‑reporting, cross‑functional environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; Mandarin proficiency is an advantage.
