Senior Assistant Director, Legal

About the role

The NTU Investment Office, which oversees a multi‑billion‑dollar global investment fund, is looking for an experienced Fund Counsel. Reporting to the Chief Investment Officer, the Senior Assistant Director, Legal will support complex investments across a wide range of asset classes, structures and geographies, providing legal guidance throughout the investment lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Review and advise on fund and investment structures, transaction terms and related legal documentation.
• Negotiate investment terms and transaction documentation with counterparties and external counsel.
• Advise investment teams on key legal, contractual, governance and regulatory considerations.
• Provide commercially focused legal advice that balances investment objectives with appropriate risk management.

Required profile

• Degree in Law from a reputable institution.
• Minimum 10 years of post‑qualification legal experience.
• Strong experience in investment transactions, fund structures, corporate transactions, private markets and/or financial investments.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple matters in a fast‑paced investment environment.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
