Senior Associate – Capital Markets & Accounting Advisory

About the role

PwC is seeking a Senior Associate to support engagement managers in delivering accounting, financial reporting, and reporting‑system solutions for clients across a range of industries, including financial services. This position offers hands‑on exposure to complex transactions, emerging reporting frameworks, and finance‑technology projects.

Key responsibilities

• Implement new accounting and reporting standards into client systems, models, controls, and processes.
• Provide end‑to‑end solutions for reporting system implementation, including consolidation, FP&A and reporting tools.
• Assist clients in preparing financial statements, carve‑outs, pro‑forma statements and complex disclosures.
• Support transaction structuring and IPO journeys, developing accounting policies and enhancing reporting automation.
• Deliver technical accounting advisory across IFRS, GAAP and emerging standards such as IFRS 9.
• Review, assess and validate expected credit loss (ECL) models and methodologies.

Required profile

• Graduate with an accounting or finance qualification.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in an international public accounting firm or financial institution.
• Strong analytical and communication abilities.

Required skills

• IFRS and GAAP knowledge, including IFRS 9.
• Experience with reporting system implementation and consolidation tools.
• Understanding of ECL modelling and validation.
• Financial reporting and statement preparation expertise.
