(Senior) Development Partner, Food Manufacturing

About the role

The Food Manufacturing & Agritech division develops Singapore's food manufacturing and agrifood technology sectors, working with companies and stakeholders to strengthen competitiveness, support enterprise growth and advance industry outcomes. The role focuses on resource optimisation, innovation, productivity and export growth, and is open to both Development Partner and Senior Development Partner levels.

Key responsibilities

• Account management: build and maintain relationships with local food manufacturing companies, assess their needs and recommend support to strengthen capabilities, drive innovation and productivity and support internationalisation.
• Translate growth opportunities into actionable development plans and initiatives with companies and internal stakeholders.
• Sector development: develop insights on food manufacturing sub-sectors, including trends, opportunities and challenges, and design sub-sector initiatives for resource optimisation, innovation and export growth.
• Monitor industry developments and draw together company and market insights to inform recommendations and programme improvements.
• Market development: design go-to-market initiatives to help manufacturers expand into overseas markets, working with teams and partners to plan and deliver them.

Required profile

• Knowledge or experience in business strategy, economic development, industry development, food manufacturing, international business or related fields.
• Interest in Singapore's economic development and in supporting the food manufacturing sector.
• For the Senior Development Partner level: greater strategic leadership, sound judgement in complex matters and the ability to lead initiatives of broader scope and impact.

Required skills

• Strong written, verbal and presentation skills, and effective communication with business and other stakeholders.
• Stakeholder management and relationship building, working across organisational boundaries.
