Senior Electrical, Instrumentation and Control Engineer

About the role

Advario is looking for a Senior Electrical, Instrumentation and Control (EI&C) Engineer to join its Engineering department in Singapore, starting as soon as possible. The position is based in Jurong Island, with working hours Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:00.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement automation systems including BPCS, PLC, SCS, F&G SCS and other industrial automation technologies, in line with technical standards and industry regulations (IEC, ISO)
• Develop process control strategies using sensors, flow computers, batch controllers and actuators, and integrate them into the overall automation framework
• Support automation systems, keep downtime low, resolve faults quickly, and prepare documentation such as SOPs and troubleshooting guides
• Analyse performance data and recommend improvements or upgrades
• Prepare budgets, schedules and resources for automation projects, including tender packages
• Lead Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and/or HAZOP studies for automation projects
• Train plant operators and engineers, and create and update technical documentation
• Keep up with automation trends and suggest new tools to improve efficiency and reduce costs

Required profile

• Minimum bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• At least 5 years of hands-on engineering experience in refineries, large marine terminals or process plants
• Strong knowledge of ICSS, PLC, BPCS, F&G SCS and SCS systems
• Familiarity with electrical infrastructure and design in industrial environments
• Knowledge of predictive, preventive and condition-based maintenance strategies
• Knowledge of ATEX and NFPA requirements in the oil and gas industry
