Senior Electronics Design Sustaining Engineer

About the role

KLA, a global leader in electronics for the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem, is hiring a Senior Electronics Design Sustaining Engineer. The role supports engineering validation and turn-key manufacturing solutions, and works with global cross-functional teams to keep products performing well.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with external vendors to support engineering validation and turn-key manufacturing solutions.
• Design, sustain and troubleshoot printed circuit boards (PCBs), power supplies and electronic test fixtures.
• Interpret and apply engineering requirements and specifications at board and sub-system levels.
• Perform failure analysis and root-cause investigations for analog, digital and mixed-signal electronics.
• Debug PCBA boards hands-on using laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and DMMs.
• Troubleshoot board-level and sub-system issues independently with moderate technical ownership.
• Contribute to sustaining engineering activities, including corrective actions, ECO execution and manufacturability improvements.
• Collaborate with global teams across systems, software, manufacturing, service and supply chain to resolve technical issues.
• Create and maintain engineering documentation such as schematics, ECOs, test procedures and sustaining updates.
• Communicate technical findings, risks and project status to stakeholders and management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
• 2+ years of experience in electronics design, sustaining engineering or board-level support roles.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience debugging PCBAs and electronic sub-systems.
• Solid foundation in analog and digital circuit design principles.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a global, cross-functional environment.
