Senior Food Technologist – R&D Chocolate (North Singapore)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Food Technologist to lead R&D activities focused on chocolate and confectionery applications across the northern region of Singapore. You will work closely with production, quality, and sales teams to drive product innovation and resolve technical challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Support production troubleshooting and drive process improvement initiatives.
• Provide technical support to customers, including product applications, raw material specifications, and complaint investigations.
• Lead new product development and product improvement projects, preparing samples for customers and the sales team.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, quality records, and calibration activities.
• Assist in sourcing and implementing new laboratory equipment and methodologies.
• Support the Quality and Environmental Management System (QEMS) and safety management system within R&D.
• Plan and execute assigned R&D projects and prepare technical documentation (product specifications, PDS, TDS).
• Conduct laboratory trials and support commercialization at manufacturing sites.
• Deliver technical training to internal stakeholders and customers as needed.
• Participate in customer meetings, presentations, and business trips.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the food industry, preferably with chocolate, confectionery, specialty fats and oils.
• Experience in food applications and product development is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
