Senior Learning Data Specialist – Centre for Innovation in Learning

About the role

The National Institute of Education (NIE) seeks a Senior Learning Data Specialist to join its Centre for Innovation in Learning. This 2‑year fixed‑term position focuses on analysing learning data, supporting faculty development, and driving innovative teaching practices.

Key responsibilities

• Examine department and project datasets using data analysis tools to optimise learning environments.
• Collaborate across teams to develop insights, strategies, and emerging technologies for faculty engagement and academic development.
• Assess faculty needs for designing, developing, and evaluating learner‑centred blended courses and workshops.
• Stay abreast of best practices in personalised, adaptive, e‑assessment, and hybrid learning.
• Partner with the Engagement, Planning and Research team to disseminate institute‑wide knowledge.
• Conduct action research: design frameworks, create evaluation instruments, gather and analyse learning analytics, and formulate improvement recommendations.
• Participate in special teaching‑and‑learning projects as required.

Required profile

• University degree in Education, Learning Sciences, Business/Data Analytics, Applied Statistics, Technology or related field.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in learning analytics or instructional design.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret data for decision‑making.
• Experience with Learning Management Systems and ICT tools for education.
• Ability to work independently and within diverse teams.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, creative thinking and problem‑solving skills.
