Senior Legal Counsel, Asia

About the role

Samsonite is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to provide comprehensive legal support across the APAC and Middle East regions. The role combines contract management, dispute resolution, and corporate governance responsibilities for a global travel‑goods leader.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and advise on leases, license agreements, commercial contracts, NDAs and service agreements for APAC and Middle East.
• Support business teams and regional leaders on operational projects, ensuring legal compliance.
• Manage disputes and litigation, coordinating with external counsel and overseeing case progress.
• Select, instruct and monitor law firms to deliver cost‑effective legal services.
• Prepare board minutes, directors’ resolutions and other company secretarial documents; liaise with external secretarial providers.
• Handle statutory filings, corporate governance and regulatory compliance for the Singapore branch and other regional entities.
• Coordinate with regulators across multiple jurisdictions to ensure compliance with statutory and governance requirements.

Required profile

• Law degree or related discipline.
• 8–10 years of legal experience, preferably in a multinational corporation or senior associate at a reputable law firm.
• Experience in corporate governance, multi‑jurisdictional company secretarial matters and litigation management.
• High proficiency in spoken and written English.
