Senior Legal Counsel (Bank) – 12‑month Contract

About the role

We are seeking a qualified lawyer to support a major intragroup corporate transaction involving the transfer of assets and liabilities across multiple business and functional divisions. Reporting to a member of the Legal Leadership Team in Singapore, you will work closely with internal stakeholders and external advisers on due diligence, contract repapering, and cross‑border legal coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Support legal workstreams for a large‑scale corporate transaction and other strategic legal projects.
• Conduct and coordinate due‑diligence activities, maintain trackers, analyse findings and prepare reports for stakeholders and governance committees.
• Assist with contract repapering, reviewing, updating and coordinating execution of client and vendor agreements.
• Coordinate foreign‑law advice across multiple jurisdictions, managing external counsel instructions, deliverables, timelines and reporting.
• Identify and help manage legal risks in collaboration with Legal, Compliance, Finance, Tax and business teams.
• Provide practical, commercially focused legal support on a range of matters as assigned.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with 2‑7 years post‑qualification experience.
• Experience in corporate transactions and large‑scale due‑diligence exercises.
• Proven ability to coordinate external legal advisers across multiple jurisdictions.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment and handling a broad range of legal issues.

Required skills

• AI‑enabled legal tools (preferred).

What we offer

• 12‑month contract based in Singapore.
• Monthly salary range SGD 16,000 – 23,000.
