Senior Manager / Manager, Communications, East Asia

About the role

Stryker is hiring a Communications Senior Manager / Manager for the East Asia region within Asia Pacific, based in Singapore. The role leads and executes strategic communications, supporting business objectives through internal and external communications, issues and crisis management, change management and stakeholder engagement. It is a hybrid position with about 20% travel.

Key responsibilities

• Communications planning and execution: develop and run communications strategies aligned with East Asia's goals, bring external insights to refine them, close gaps and share best practices across businesses
• Internal communications: craft messages on strategy, leadership updates and organizational shifts, run town halls, newsletters and annual sales meetings, and maintain internal channels
• External communications: manage inquiries and media relationships, and lead or support brand campaigns across East Asia markets with Marketing and cross-functional teams
• Crisis management: stay connected to the company-level crisis team, plan protocols and lead crisis response
• Stakeholder engagement: work with commercial, cross-functional and global communications teams on strategic programs
• Executive visibility: advise the East Asia leadership team and shape messaging and content for senior leaders
• Content development: write and edit newsletters, leader messages, town hall presentations and meeting materials
• Measurement and reporting: track communications effectiveness with KPIs and analytics and optimize strategies accordingly
• Manage third-party communication consultants and agency partners, and collaborate with communications leads in and outside APAC

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree required
• 10+ years of communications experience
• Experience in multi-cultural, multi-market settings; multi-national work environments preferred
• Excellent storytelling, writing and presentation skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects on time, persuade and influence stakeholders without authority
