Senior Manager, Monitoring & Surveillance (1-Year Contract)

About the role

The Health Promotion Board (HPB) is seeking a Senior Manager to join its Monitoring and Surveillance Department. You will help manage HPB's monitoring and surveillance platforms so that population-level studies run smoothly and continuously, advancing data-driven health promotion by linking monitoring and surveillance with national policy and practice.

Key responsibilities

• Help manage the implementation of national monitoring and surveillance platforms such as the National Population Health Survey (NPHS) and the National Nutrition Survey (NNS), working with stakeholders and vendors.
• Work on national monitoring and surveillance studies and other studies nested within these platforms, ensuring high-quality data is captured.
• Analyse data from monitoring and surveillance platforms and other sources, turn findings into practical recommendations for policy and strategy, and present them clearly using data visualisation and strong verbal presentation skills.
• Contribute to the monitoring and review of HPB's key health promotion strategies within matrix cross-functional teams.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of relevant working experience.
• Degree in Food Science, Nutrition or a related discipline.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented matrix organisation and lead or take part in cross-functional teams.
• Good interpersonal, partnership, influencing and negotiation skills with partners from academia, public and private sectors.
• Intellectually curious, innovative and able to implement change.

Required skills

• Project and vendor management; survey management, consultancy or research experience is an added advantage.
• Statistical analysis and triangulation of data across diverse sources; familiarity with STATA, SPSS or R is an added advantage.
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.

Successful candidates will be offered a 1-year contract.
