Senior Manager, Tax – MENA & APAC (Singapore)

About the role

As the Senior Manager of Corporate Tax for MENA & APAC, you will combine deep technical tax expertise with strategic partnership to guide Checkout.com’s expansion across fast‑growing markets. This role goes beyond routine compliance, shaping tax strategy for new product launches and international growth.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary tax advisor to MENA and APAC leadership, providing clear guidance on tax implications of commercial decisions and market entries.
• Collaborate with the Global Tax team in London to align regional strategies with group objectives, especially regarding OECD Pillar Two and cash tax management.
• Lead high‑impact projects such as restructuring for international expansion and assessing tax impact of innovative fintech products.
• Own the direct tax lifecycle for regional entities, including transition to the new UAE Corporate Tax regime and ongoing compliance.
• Design, implement and maintain transfer pricing policies and manage end‑to‑end tax reporting processes.
• Build automated systems to improve tax function efficiency and manage relationships with regional tax authorities, including audit handling.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of corporate tax experience, preferably with Big 4 training and high‑growth fintech or financial services exposure.
• Hands‑on experience with MENA and APAC tax compliance, filings and regional tax authority interactions.
• Strong strategic mindset, able to communicate complex tax issues to senior executives.
