Senior Manager, Training & Professional Education, APAC Surgical

About the role

Edwards' Surgical business unit, which develops technologies for cardiac surgery, is looking for a Senior Manager of Training and Professional Education in the APAC region, based in Singapore. The role leads the design and delivery of sales, commercial and clinical training for field-based sales employees, working closely with marketing, GHER, operations and medical affairs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, enhance and lead the execution of BU-related sales, commercial and clinical programs, including sales and delivery mechanisms.
• Lead the design of training curriculum for field sales employees, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet the changing needs of the sales organization.
• Assess field sales teams on knowledge, capabilities and skills, interpret sales operations analytics, and work with SMEs to build training programs that improve employee skills.
• Create ongoing direction for development programs such as the Field Training Team and Leadership Development Program.
• Ensure training objectives are met consistently and in line with the training strategy, and measure effectiveness through surveys, field feedback and KOL reviews.
• Evaluate and lead the development of new training platforms, and prepare budget reports for project spend.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree with at least 10 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree (or equivalent) with at least 8 years of experience in sales, marketing or the healthcare industry.
• Proven experience in the medical device industry.
• Demonstrated success as a trainer in clinical and/or sales environments.

Required skills

• Instructional design and development of clinical and technical training content.
• Ability to turn complex clinical and technical concepts into engaging learning materials.
• Preferred: ability to design and implement training and field adoption strategies, strong facilitation and presentation skills, and expert knowledge of sales training processes and systems.
