Senior Manager/Director, Digital Banking Channels & Platform Modernisation

About the role

EY is hiring a Senior Manager/Director for its Digital Banking Channels & Platform Modernisation practice within Financial Services. This is a hands-on technology leadership role combining digital banking architecture, solutioning, complex program delivery and client engagement. The role is based in Singapore with significant engagement across ASEAN.

Key responsibilities

• Lead large-scale digital banking transformation and modernization programs from solution definition through implementation and production rollout.
• Manage complex programs with large offshore and distributed engineering teams across onshore, nearshore and offshore delivery models.
• Set up engineering and delivery governance covering architecture, DevSecOps, release management, quality engineering, integration, performance and production readiness.
• Manage dependencies across digital channels, core banking, payments, cards, identity, CRM, data platforms and third-party ecosystems.
• Build trusted relationships with CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, Heads of Digital and other senior leaders, acting as a credible technology advisor and leading executive presentations, architecture workshops and solutioning sessions.
• Navigate different organizational and cultural environments across ASEAN and build consensus among business, technology, architecture, engineering, operations, vendors and executives.

Required profile

• Ideally 15+ years of technology experience, with substantial banking or financial services experience and a strong track record in digital banking transformation.
• Demonstrated success delivering complex transformations with large offshore engineering teams and multiple delivery locations.
• Significant client-facing experience with banks and financial institutions.
• Ability to present a digital transformation strategy to a bank CEO, CIO or executive committee and lead a complex multi-country program.

Required skills

• Modern front-end and mobile/web architectures, Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) patterns, APIs and microservices.
• Cloud-native architecture, containers, CI/CD, DevSecOps, automated testing, observability and API management.
• Strong commercial and delivery capability for large technology programs.
