Senior Principal Analyst, International Relations (ERD)

About the role

The Energy Market Authority (EMA) is recruiting a Senior Principal Analyst within its External Relations Department, which includes the International Relations Branch. The role helps shape Singapore's international energy engagements and cooperation, working with governments, industry and international partners to deliver outcomes beyond Singapore.

Key responsibilities

• Drive bilateral engagements with international partners to advance Singapore's "Four Switches".
• Represent Singapore at ASEAN and other high-level multilateral forums.
• Build and sustain strategic dialogues with international counterparts such as the IEA and IREN.
• Drive regional interconnectivity initiatives such as the Lao PDR-Thailand-Malaysia-Singapore Power Integration Project (LTMS-PIP), the ASEAN Power Grid and the ASEAN REC Framework.

• Organised, collaborative and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
• Team player who builds trusted relationships across agencies, industries and international counterparts.
• Preferred: degree in Law, Economics, Public Policy, International Relations, Political Science or a related discipline.
• Preferred: experience in international relations, public policy, external engagement or the energy sector, and understanding of energy policy and global trends.
• Preferred: project management experience, other languages, and willingness to travel overseas when required.
