Senior Principal Analyst, Projects & Partnerships

About the role

The Energy Connections Office (ECO) is tasked with facilitating around 6GW of low-carbon electricity imports into Singapore by 2035, roughly one-third of the country's energy demand at that time. You will join a multi-disciplinary team supporting imports and regional grid interconnections, specifically within the Projects & Partnerships (PP) branch.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate with interested companies on their proposals and evaluate them against requirements for energy security, competitiveness and sustainability.
• Facilitate the development of promising electricity import projects and ensure their timely delivery.
• Engage overseas government bodies to secure government-to-government support for cross-border electricity trading.

Required profile

• Keen interest in energy transition issues and a passion for public service.
• Comfortable with ambiguity, willing to challenge the status quo and propose new solutions.
• Strong interpersonal skills to engage and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Excellent verbal communication, analytical and critical thinking skills, ready to go deep into subject areas.
• Willingness to travel overseas frequently.
• Prior experience in electricity trading, industry engagement and project management preferred.
