Senior Procurement Executive / Assistant Procurement Manager

About the role

We are looking for a proactive, detail‑oriented professional to join our procurement team and support Singapore's defence and national security initiatives. You will help design and execute sourcing strategies for advanced defence systems, critical goods, and essential services.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with project teams to understand requirements, review technical specifications, and develop tailored procurement strategies.
• Manage end‑to‑end procurement processes, including sourcing document preparation, supplier evaluation, negotiation, approval, and contract award.
• Oversee contract performance, monitor suppliers, and support ongoing contract management activities.
• Conduct data‑driven market research, engage with industry, and analyse supply‑chain conditions and market constraints.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and introduce innovative procurement solutions.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with relevant policies, guidelines, and principles of transparency, fairness, and value for money.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in any discipline.
• Strong project‑management abilities with a focus on timelines, organization, and meticulous execution.
• Excellent analytical and critical‑thinking skills for problem solving.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, able to work independently and within cross‑functional teams.
• Agility to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
• No prior experience required; training will be provided. Candidates with relevant procurement or contract‑management experience may be considered for the Assistant Procurement Manager role.
