Senior Procurement Specialist (Buyer)

About the role

Halliburton is seeking a Procurement Specialist to plan and execute the sourcing of goods and services that support manufacturing, field operations, technology, and project management at the plant level. Reporting under direct supervision, the role contributes to cost containment, operational efficiency and overall profitability while adhering to company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Plan sourcing of goods and services to align with strategic plans for manufacturing, field operations, technology, or project management at the plant level.
• Comply with and execute Category Management strategies in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Issue purchase orders in response to material requirements generated by manufacturing, field operations, or project teams.
• Implement agreements for local procurement of goods and services that are not covered under existing Category Management frameworks.
• Create Requests for Quotations (RFQs) and organize competitive bidding processes to secure the best quality, delivery timelines, and pricing from suppliers.
• Assess and monitor supplier performance to ensure ongoing compliance and value delivery.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in a technical, business, or related discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a procurement or production environment.
• Advanced procurement certification preferred (e.g., CPM) and a strong understanding of Purchase to Pay processes.
• Demonstrated ability to work within Category Management guidelines and support cost‑containment initiatives.
