Senior Professional Officer – AI & Digital Innovation

About the role

The Innovation-as-a-Service (IaaS) Centre at SIT connects industry partners with cutting‑edge research to accelerate AI‑driven digital transformation. As a Senior Professional Officer you will lead applied AI projects that help SMEs, MNCs and government agencies bring AI solutions to market quickly.

Key responsibilities

• Lead or co‑lead innovation projects with industry partners, including SMEs, multinational corporations and government agencies.
• Collaborate with the centre head and internal/external stakeholders to drive applied research and generate measurable impact or revenue for partners.
• Understand partner requirements, develop proposals and create intellectual property from internal grants for multiple adopters.

Required profile

• Good Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of industry experience in AI/ML research or application.
• Demonstrated managerial or team‑leadership experience for senior appointments.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python, R, Java, C/C#/C++ and data‑modeling concepts.
• Experience with Computer Vision, Image Processing, Machine Learning, Deep Learning and Reinforcement Learning.
• Knowledge of Large Language Models, Multimodal Models, Generative AI, Agentic AI, Physical AI and Embodied AI.
• Expertise in Trustworthy AI (explainability, auditability, privacy), Edge AI, model optimisation, time‑series modelling, anomaly detection, digital twins and simulation.
