Senior Quality Engineer (SQA) – Manufacturing

About the role

As a Senior Quality Engineer (SQA) at Molex, you will drive quality excellence across subcontractor manufacturing operations. You will lead the development and execution of strategic quality plans, resolve complex quality issues, and ensure compliance with the company’s quality management system.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor key quality indicators and implement improvement (IDI) plans to meet targets.
• Lead the implementation and ongoing management of the SQA system for the plant.
• Conduct internal and external audits to verify conformance to requirements.
• Analyze daily process issues, drive cost‑of‑poor‑quality (COPQ) and yield improvements.
• Engage with Advanced Quality Planning (AQP) early in product development.
• Provide disposition for in‑process, outgoing, and returned part rejects, with authority to block non‑conforming stock.
• Create and update inspection SOPs, checklists, control plans, and special inspection instructions.
• Participate in root‑cause investigations of customer complaints and implement corrective actions.
• Apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) tools and conduct Measurement System Analysis (MSA) as needed.
• Prepare the department for internal, customer, and supplier audits.

Required profile

• Senior‑level engineer with extensive experience in manufacturing quality.
• Proactive approach to continuous improvement and cross‑functional collaboration.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret quality data and drive corrective actions.
