Senior Staff Engineer, Product Engineering

About the role

Marvell is hiring a Senior Staff Engineer for its Product Engineering team, which covers networking for CuPhy, ODSP/CDSP and custom solutions. You will join a team of engineers that imagines, builds, deploys and runs products for mass production, and will set up test programs and hardware on advanced industrial test systems across Marvell's test locations in Asia.

Key responsibilities

• Setup test programs, hardware and test out devices on industrial test systems in Asia, and perform fail analysis and debugging (software and hardware) with engineering and development groups.
• Support and resolve device testing and program-related issues, and provide customer return verification support.
• Transfer new products and technologies to test locations in Asia for mass production.
• Maintain and improve product test yield and quality in final test, system-level test and wafer and bump sort.
• Run cost-reduction and continuous-improvement projects, such as yield improvement, test insertion elimination, test time reduction, multiple test site enhancement and wafer sort implementation.
• Improve product quality, test efficiency, production throughput and test hardware.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the semiconductor industry.
• Ability to work under pressure with strong attention to detail, and strong communication skills with all levels of management.
• Short-notice travel is required.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of product test methodology and implementation.
• Knowledge of C and C++ programming.
• Analytical, problem-solving and failure-debugging skills.
• Hands-on knowledge of JMP statistical analysis and scripting languages such as Perl and Python is a plus.
