Senior/Staff Nurse – Cancer Centre (NCIS)

About the role

The Cancer Centre at NCIS is seeking an experienced Senior/Staff Nurse to deliver comprehensive oncology nursing care. You will assess patients, develop individualized care plans, and ensure safe delivery of specialised treatments across multiple settings.

Key responsibilities

• Provide prescribed nursing care, assist with procedures, and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Recognise and promptly escalate clinical deterioration or treatment‑related complications.
• Educate patients and caregivers to promote self‑care and continuity of care.
• Undertake duties within assigned specialised oncology services, coordinating with the multidisciplinary team and ensuring safe handovers.
• Maintain competency in relevant procedures, services and escalation protocols.
• Supervise junior staff and students, and assume the Staff Nurse in‑charge role when required.
• Participate in quality‑improvement, education, research and innovation activities.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with the Singapore Nursing Board.
• Diploma or Degree in Nursing from a recognised institution.
• Minimum 3–4 years post‑registration nursing experience, preferably in oncology or a related specialty.
• Demonstrated competency in at least two specialised oncology skills.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical‑thinking and decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Compassionate, accountable and committed to patient safety.
