Senior/Staff Product Engineer

About the role

Silicon Labs is looking for a Senior/Staff Product Engineer to join its Product & Test Engineering (PTE) team. The team works with Design, Test, Quality and Manufacturing Engineering to make sure wireless SoCs and modules meet cost, performance and reliability goals. It covers technologies such as Bluetooth Low Energy, Zigbee, Wi-Fi and Matter, and optimizes test coverage, yield and customer returns.

Key responsibilities

• Own product engineering deliverables from NPI through launch and early manufacturing ramp support.
• Define guardbands, corner conditions and ATE characterization strategies for robust releases.
• Support product qualification and reliability testing in line with JEDEC and AEC standards.
• Design burn-in hardware and develop stress test patterns (HTOL, ELFR, HAST).
• Analyze yield, parametric data and test results to fix issues affecting performance, cost and quality.
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for yield excursions, test coverage gaps and customer returns.
• Monitor fab, assembly and test metrics for product health in production.
• Mentor junior engineers and help define best practices and methodology improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field with 5+ years of experience (or MS with 3+ years).
• Strong background in product or test engineering for high-volume semiconductor products.
• Plus: experience in wireless or IoT SoCs, ATE platforms or lab instrumentation, wafer sort, final test and SLT, ESD/LU qualification, and global cross-functional work.

Required skills

• Data analysis tools and scripting languages such as JMP, Python, SQL or R.
• Statistical problem solving.
• Understanding of IC manufacturing, test processes and failure analysis.
• Familiarity with analog/mixed-signal ICs or RF-enabled devices.
• Experience designing burn-in hardware and stress test patterns.
