Service Engineer – Marine Automation

About the role

SAACKE Singapore is looking for a skilled Service Engineer to support marine automation equipment across vessels and workshop environments. The role combines hands‑on technical work with customer interaction and travel to regional and global sites.

Key responsibilities

• Lead commissioning, maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of marine electrical and mechanical equipment such as boilers, burners, scrubbers, EGE, EBG and GCU.
• Travel on short notice to customer sites regionally and occasionally worldwide, maintaining valid travel documentation.
• Execute work in strict accordance with company Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) guidelines and site procedures.
• Prepare and obtain customer signatures on Service Certificates and produce detailed Service Reports.
• Recommend spare parts, identify sales opportunities and support business growth.
• Provide both onsite and remote technical support to resolve issues efficiently.
• Collaborate with colleagues, sharing knowledge to foster a team‑oriented environment.
• Prioritize tasks with a customer‑focused approach, ensuring clear communication and high‑quality outcomes.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of troubleshooting experience in electrical, electronic and mechanical systems.
• Strong automation background essential for effective service delivery.
• Proficient in MS Office for documentation and communication.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Valid passport, visas and required vaccinations for travel.
