Software Quality Engineer (IT Quality Specialist)

About the role

Activate Interactive, a technology consultancy in Singapore, is hiring an IT Quality Specialist for a 24-month fixed-term contract. The role leads and performs Internal Quality Audits (IQA) to give independent assurance of compliance with organisational policies, quality standards and regulatory requirements, and drives continual improvement through audit findings, corrective actions and quality advisory services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage the annual Internal Quality Audit programme and plan and conduct end-to-end audits across IT projects, operations and support functions
• Assess compliance with QMS requirements, governance controls, regulatory requirements and standards, and evaluate internal controls, processes and risk management
• Gather and analyse audit evidence through interviews, document reviews, process walkthroughs and sampling, and prepare audit findings, recommendations and management action plans
• Monitor corrective and preventive actions and verify closure of findings, maintain audit records and support external audits and certification activities
• Advise process owners on audit requirements and quality practices, and support audit-readiness, compliance reviews and quality-awareness programmes
• Maintain and control QMS procedures, standards and records, and monitor recurring non-conformities

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience in Internal Quality Audit, Quality Management, Compliance, Governance or Process Assurance
• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Quality Management or a related discipline
• Experience supporting ISO certification audits and compliance reviews, and maintaining a QMS
• Preferred: ISO 9001 Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor certification, and experience in government, public-sector or regulated-industry IT environments

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, audit methodologies and risk-based auditing
• Familiarity with IT governance, SDLC, change management, service management and operational controls
• Analytical, investigative and report-writing skills, and strong communication and stakeholder-management abilities
• Added advantage: experience auditing Agile, DevOps, cloud-native or cloud product environments, and familiarity with AWS and cloud governance
