Staff Logistics Transportation Analyst

About the role

Illumina is seeking a Staff Logistics Transportation Analyst to support its global logistics operations, focusing on the AMEA region. The role will work under Global Logistics leadership to align transport capabilities with company standards, driving cost efficiency and service improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the orchestration of transport capabilities for the AMEA region.
• Gather and analyze logistics data to produce metrics and KPI reports that support decision‑making.
• Develop, author, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures with carriers.
• Collaborate with quality, packaging engineering, planning, customer service, finance and purchasing to design high‑performing transportation solutions.
• Manage relationships with logistics providers, conduct business reviews, and address service issues.
• Interpret service provider contracts, monitor compliance, and ensure adherence to key dates.
• Drive cost‑reduction initiatives and continuous‑improvement plans.
• Utilize the Transport Management System (TMS) to enhance visibility, analytics, and cost efficiency.

Required profile

• Experience working with regional operations teams on logistics processes and standards.
• Proven ability to identify under‑performing logistics areas and implement improvements.
• Strong negotiation and contract‑management skills.
• Ability to develop business cases that balance service quality with economic value.
• Excellent collaboration skills across multiple functional partners.

Required skills

• Transport Management System (TMS) usage for analytics and visibility.
