Storage Specialist (Hybrid)

About the role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is hiring a Storage Specialist in Singapore, working in a hybrid arrangement of about two days per week in an HPE office. The role is a senior sales position covering storage products and solutions, with responsibility for building and closing deals in assigned accounts, industries or territories.

Key responsibilities

• Sell storage products and solutions and create and drive the storage sales pipeline, capturing leads and following them through to closure.
• Assess solution feasibility from a technical and business perspective to qualify in or out, and negotiate profitable deals.
• Build a consultative relationship with clients, working with them up to C-level on mid-to-large accounts and linking business and financial benefits to technology.
• Work with the channel to enable key technologies and co-sell to end users, and support deal closure with account managers and partners.
• Lead and coordinate supporting sales activities such as pipeline hygiene, account planning and storage marketing campaigns.
• Contribute to quota objectives and the future direction of storage product lines, and mentor lower-level employees.

Required profile

• Typically 6-10+ years of sales experience, with 2-3+ years in storage sales.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Extensive vertical industry knowledge and project management experience.
• Demonstrated record of progressively higher quotas and experience with diverse business customers.

Required skills

• Expert knowledge of storage, cloud, solution or service offerings and of competitors.
• Ability to articulate technical solutions and commercial benefits to clients.
• Consultative selling, negotiation and leadership of peers.
• Understanding of IT, budgets and metrics at CIO level.
