Storage Specialist (Hybrid)

About the role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is hiring a Storage Specialist in Singapore, working in a hybrid arrangement of about two days per week in an HPE office. The role is a senior sales position covering storage products and solutions, with responsibility for building the pipeline, negotiating and closing deals, and acting as a trusted solutions consultant for assigned accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Sell storage products and solutions in the assigned territory, industry or accounts, and create and drive the storage sales pipeline.
• Prospect, qualify, negotiate and close deals, working with account managers, presales, channel partners and other stakeholders.
• Build client readiness and reduce the learning curve through knowledge transfer, and support deal closure.
• Work with clients up to C-level on mid-to-large accounts, positioning HPE's products against competitors.
• Lead and coordinate storage marketing campaigns and enable the channel to co-sell.
• Use references to explain complex technologies simply and link technology to business and financial benefits (ROI and TCO).
• Support account retention and growth, and reinforce HPE's strategy and portfolio with partners and champions.

Required profile

• University or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Typically 6-10+ years of sales experience, with 2-3+ years in storage sales.
• Demonstrated achievement of progressively higher quotas and experience with diverse business customers at all levels.
• Extensive vertical industry knowledge and project management experience.

Required skills

• Expert knowledge of storage, cloud, solution or service offerings and of competitors' offerings.
• Ability to assess solution feasibility technically and commercially, and to articulate technical solutions and commercial benefits.
• Consultative selling, negotiation and leadership of peers.
• Understanding of IT, budgets and metrics at the CIO level, and of program/project management methods.
