Strategic Communications Intern 2026

About the role

FTI Consulting is a global expert firm for organizations facing crisis and transformation, working with multinational corporations, law firms, banks and private equity firms. Its Strategic Communications team in Singapore offers clients a comprehensive view of strategic communications, covering financial communications, corporate reputation, transaction communications and public affairs. This is a full-time, in-person internship of 12 to 16 weeks, with possible extension, for candidates available to start from December.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in drafting communications materials such as press releases and briefing documents
• Compile, track, summarise and report on media coverage
• Conduct background research on companies and topics
• Maintain contact lists, editorial forward feature lists and event calendars
• Support corporate communications and media relations, such as liaising with journalists, distributing press releases and supporting press conferences
• Help on new business initiatives and proposals, including prospect research and editing PowerPoint presentations
• Carry out other ad hoc administrative tasks as needed

Required profile

• University student; not restricted to business, public relations, marketing or communications disciplines, though a strong interest is important
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong research, writing and organisation skills
• Able to work in large teams or independently, with an analytical approach to work
• Ability to prioritise and handle multiple assignments
