Technical Project Executive (RAN & RF)

About the role

NCS, a technology services firm operating across the Asia Pacific region, is looking for a proactive and adaptable Technical Project Executive to support project management and administrative functions for a communications project. On regular workdays the candidate works within NCS's project management team, and acts as backfill personnel for an operations-monitoring team at the client's site, providing project support and administration.

Key responsibilities

• Vendor management for system management and operations and support activities required to maintain the SLA, including contract management, system health and security monitoring, sites support, OS/software/firmware patching, change and service request handling, IDS management and equipment obsolescence management.
• Support procurement activities and the submission of security clearance for related vendors.
• Support the annual audit of spare assets.
• Provide technical advice, answer customer technical queries, recommend project management scope, and support reviews of operation and maintenance manuals.
• Provide day-to-day project management assistance, including documentation, coordination and tracking of deliverables.

Required profile

• Foundational knowledge of project management principles and tools; formal certification is a plus but not mandatory.
• Willingness to deploy to support a separate operations-monitoring team at the customer site as needed.
• Strong initiative, collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn.
• Certifications such as CCNP, CCIP, CCSP or above, and other relevant IT industry certificates.
• Strong technical experience in cellular networks or autonomous systems is preferred.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of mobile network design and operations, especially CORE, RAN and RF.
• Internet routing protocols such as TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS/VPN, and services such as DNS, DHCP, TFTP, SSH, SMTP.
• Network management system working knowledge, troubleshooting and fault isolation.
• Preferred: knowledge of 4G EPC Core, RAN and/or radio frequency; network automation, Python and Ansible.
