Vice President / Senior VP – Structured Trade, Global Transaction Banking (APAC)

About the role

Join Santander's Structured Trade team in Singapore as a Vice President or Senior Vice President, supporting the Team Head in delivering tailored financing solutions to blue‑chip clients across Asia Pacific. You will lead commercial activities, coordinate marketing material, and drive deal execution from origination to maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve quantitative and qualitative performance targets for the regional team, covering origination, execution and client relationship maintenance.
• Manage the full deal lifecycle: create marketing and pitch materials, prepare credit applications, measure profitability, and negotiate legal documentation.
• Lead commercial pipelines, analyse client working‑capital needs, and coordinate with corporate sales, coverage, middle‑office and back‑office teams.
• Collaborate with global Structured Trade, Banking & Corporate Finance, and other geographies to ensure smooth execution.
• Contribute to product framework development and support infrastructure initiatives.
• Assist the Global Transaction Banking department head with strategic projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• At least 8 years of experience with an international bank (minimum 4 years in Structured Trade or Structured Commodity Finance) or a major law firm in Banking & Finance.
• Strong knowledge of banking and finance law, regulatory and compliance impacts on structuring and documentation.
• Agile mindset, ability to innovate legal solutions and remove bottlenecks.
• Team player, self‑starter, high motivation, able to work under pressure.
• Fluent in spoken and written English and Mandarin; Spanish or Portuguese a plus.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Detail‑oriented with excellent analytical and presentation skills.
