VP Cybersecurity Advisory Specialist

About the role

NETS, a leading payment infrastructure provider in Singapore, is looking for an experienced IT security professional to join its IS Program Management Office as a Business Project Security Advisory specialist. The role helps ensure that "Security By Design" is followed in the design and implementation of mission-critical financial services, so that projects are delivered on time, within budget and compliant with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assess projects, review security designs and provide tailored security requirements and solutions for financial services initiatives, defending the soundness of security designs and recommending improvements.
• Oversee the planning, execution and delivery of security activities, managing and controlling project risks, issues and changes to ensure timely completion.
• Monitor and report on project progress, performance and budget.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with project sponsors, cross-team members, external business partners and vendors.
• Advise senior management on security strategy and help manage and co-approve the security budget, expenses and vendor relationships.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation and excellence within the team.

Required profile

• 8+ years of security experience, including 3+ years in an advisory role.
• Proven leadership and management skills.
• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or an information security-related field.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of security principles, practices and technologies, including security architecture, applications, processes and industry frameworks.
• Familiarity with MAS TRM, PCI DSS and NIST is a must.
• Familiarity with payment and card specifications, standards and protocols is an advantage.
• Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CISA or AWS Certified Security - Specialty are highly desirable.
