About the role
UPS is hiring a Warehouse Operator working five days a week during office hours. The role covers picking, packing and shipping, cargo release and stock checks, and is offered on a fixed-term basis.
Key responsibilities
- Pick, pack out, ship and issue materials accurately
- Release cargo to the forwarder or carrier
- Handle manifests and verify physical stock against documentation
- Perform cycle counts and receive indirect materials on behalf of end users
- Keep warehouse or production store facilities tidy
- Maintain materials handling equipment
- Follow standard operating procedures and warehouse safety and health rules
- Check outbound orders against serial number, certificate of origin, HS code, ECCN, export licence category and strategic goods indicator against the physical goods, invoice and factory label
Required profile
- At least secondary school education
- Able to operate warehouse equipment such as a reach truck and hand pallet jack
- Forklift licence is an advantage
