Accountant – APAC Finance (Japan, Singapore, China)

About the role

ACT is seeking a highly motivated Accountant to join its APAC Finance team. Reporting to the APAC Finance Manager, the role will ensure accurate recording of financial transactions, manage Accounts Payable and Receivable, and support the preparation of financial statements for Japan, Singapore, and China.

Key responsibilities

• Manage month‑end and year‑end closing processes, handling a full set of accounts for Japan and supporting Singapore and China.
• Coordinate AP and AR processes from invoice receipt to payment execution and receipt recording.
• Perform detailed financial analysis, including vendor and customer ledger reviews, to provide insights for strategic decisions.
• Support tax computations, VAT/GST/CT code onboarding, and regulatory submissions.
• Assist with external audit requests and annual financial statement preparation.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS) and stay updated on regulatory changes.
• Contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives.

Required profile

• Business‑related university degree, preferably in Accountancy.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in corporate or public accounting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and IFRS.
• High attention to detail, adaptability, and effective cross‑functional communication.
• Proactive problem‑solver with a “roll‑up‑your‑sleeves” attitude.

Required skills

• Microsoft Dynamics NAV (experience is a plus).
