Aerospace Engineer – Engine Repair

About the role

The position is based at our aerospace maintenance facility and focuses on the repair and technical support of propulsion engines and related components. The engineer will ensure compliance with OEM and regulatory standards while driving continuous improvement in repair processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead engine and product repair activities, including manual discrepancy resolution and out‑of‑manual repairs.
• Review and interpret OEM publications (ESM, SB, IC, specifications) and ensure alignment with repair procedures.
• Design, review and request quotations for repair fixtures, jigs and tools.
• Conduct tooling and consumable equivalency assessments and perform First Article inspections on new repairs.
• Set up capabilities and declare new repair processes, equipment or methods to authorities.
• Draft and amend technical worksheets and support root‑cause investigations for quality failures.
• Manage special repair processes, generate process parameters, and implement cost‑saving improvements.
• Prepare maintenance procedures (FMM) and aviation risk assessments (HIRA).
• Liaise with regulatory bodies such as NEA for process approvals.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Aeronautical Engineering.
• Prior experience in propulsion engine and component MRO environments.
• Strong fundamentals in engineering drawing interpretation.
• Familiarity with FAA 45 and EASA 145 regulatory requirements.
• Analytical mindset with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
