AMS Verification Intern (Master's Degree)

About the role

Marvell's Broadband Analog group designs physical-layer ICs for high-speed fiber-optic data communication, such as transimpedance amplifiers (TIAs) and drivers for silicon photonic, electro-absorption modulator and Mach-Zehnder interferometer modulator technologies. It is seeking a motivated Design Verification (DV) Intern to help develop and implement mixed-signal verification for broadband amplifiers, learning from industry experts and working with industry-standard tools.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement mixed-signal verification plans for broadband amplifiers based on design architecture and specifications.
• Design and build verification testbenches using industry-standard verification languages and methodologies.
• Write and run test cases to verify mixed-signal circuits for functionality, performance and reliability.
• Analyze verification results and give feedback to design teams.
• Maintain detailed documentation of verification plans, test results and design changes.
• Work with design and layout teams to identify and resolve design issues.
• Work across technologies and process nodes, including SiGe BiCMOS and CMOS.

Required profile

• BS/EE or MSc (preferred) in high-performance analog/mixed-signal design and verification.
• Strong understanding of analog and mixed-signal circuit design and verification.
• Good programming skills; Python and Verilog/Verilog-A are a plus.
• Excellent debugging, problem-solving and analytical skills, and strong communication, presentation and documentation skills.
• Team player eager to learn and adapt.

Required skills

• Solid experience with EDA CAD tools such as Cadence Virtuoso or SimVision.
• Transistor-level design, control/feedback loop stability analysis, AGC loop design, and high-precision analog circuits (linear regulators, current sensors, bandgaps, DACs, ADCs).
• RF/high-speed broadband techniques; project experience with different technologies (SiGe BiCMOS is a plus).
