Analog Design Intern (Optical PHY)

About the role

Marvell's Central Engineering - Optical PHY team designs high-speed optical transceivers for long-haul, metro, datacenter and AI cluster communication infrastructure. As an Analog/Mixed-Signal IC Design Intern, you will help design circuits for advanced CMOS transceiver and SERDES products, working in an advanced process and collaborating on next-generation optical transceivers.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret circuit specifications and system-level requirements.
• Help design and implement high-performance analog and mixed-signal circuits, including PLLs, DLLs, ADCs, voltage regulators, amplifiers, transmitters (TX) and receivers (RX).
• Perform detailed circuit-level simulations and design verification with industry-standard EDA tools.
• Work with digital design, layout and validation teams to ensure integration and successful tape-out.
• Take part in design reviews, maintain documentation and contribute to improving design methodologies and flows.

Required profile

• BEng/MSc student in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
• Understanding of analog circuit fundamentals and semiconductor device physics.
• Highly motivated, self-driven, curious and eager to learn.
• Team player with strong communication skills.

Required skills

• Analog circuit fundamentals and semiconductor device physics.
• IC design CAD tools such as Spectre and SPICE.
• MATLAB and Python.
