APAC Lead, Legal & Compliance

About the role

S64, a leading alternatives fintech partner for wealth managers across EMEA and APAC, is seeking an APAC Lead, Legal & Compliance based in Singapore. The role supports regulatory and compliance activities across Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, Australia and South Korea, including cross‑border marketing and distribution.

Key responsibilities

• Provide practical compliance advice on APAC regulatory requirements and business decisions.
• Maintain a regulatory change process covering circulars, notices, guidelines and consultations from MAS, ASIC and other authorities.
• Lead coordination of all APAC regulatory interactions, including onsite inspections and audits.
• Oversee cross‑border marketing and distribution controls, escalating jurisdiction‑specific questions to external counsel when needed.
• Review APAC‑targeted marketing materials, investor communications, DDQs and product collateral for regulatory compliance.
• Manage regulatory licensing and notification requirements for APAC entities and individuals.
• Create and run the APAC compliance monitoring plan, implementing global compliance processes, tools and registers (AML/KYC, conflicts, complaints, risk incidents).
• Maintain the APAC view of S64’s global risk framework, update risk registers and track remediation.
• Test controls, perform second‑line reviews and manage relationships with third‑party compliance partners.

Required profile

• Extensive knowledge of APAC financial regulations (MAS, ASIC, etc.) and experience with cross‑border compliance.
• Proven ability to lead regulatory interactions, inspections and audits.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret regulatory changes and implement monitoring programs.
• Excellent communication skills to work with distribution, technology, operations and global legal teams.

Required skills

• Regulatory compliance expertise in APAC jurisdictions.
• Experience with AML/KYC frameworks and risk management registers.
• Ability to draft and review marketing and product documentation for compliance.
