Assistant Cook – Full‑Time

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Assistant Cook to support our kitchen operations across Singapore. You will work closely with the Cook to ensure food preparation runs smoothly and the kitchen remains clean and organized.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Cook with food preparation tasks such as cleaning, cutting, chopping and peeling ingredients.
• Clean and sanitise food preparation areas in line with hygiene and safety standards.
• Wash, disinfect and store cooking utensils and equipment properly.
• Buy, weigh, receive and store ingredients and supplies.
• Operate kitchen appliances and tools including mixers, ovens, cutters and knives.
• Manage inventory, unload deliveries and organise the storeroom.
• Maintain clean workstations and equipment throughout the shift.
• Contribute to menu development and improve existing dishes.
• Monitor kitchen expenses, food costs and staffing within budget limits.

Required profile

• Ability to work shift patterns, including evenings and weekends.
• Experience or willingness to cook North Indian cuisine.
• Professional attitude and ability to follow standard operating procedures.

Required skills

• Food preparation techniques (cutting, chopping, peeling).
• Operation of kitchen appliances (mixers, ovens, cutters, knives).
• Inventory management and stock handling.
• North Indian cooking knowledge.
