Assistant Cook – Full‑Time Kitchen Support

About the role

The Assistant Cook supports the kitchen team by ensuring a clean, organized environment and assisting the Cook with food preparation and equipment handling. This full‑time position is ideal for candidates who enjoy hands‑on kitchen work and can contribute to efficient service.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Cook with cleaning, cutting, chopping, and peeling ingredients.
• Maintain hygiene standards by cleaning and sanitising food preparation areas.
• Wash, disinfect, and store kitchen utensils and equipment.
• Measure, weigh, and store ingredients and supplies.
• Operate kitchen appliances such as cutters, knives, mixers, and ovens.
• Manage inventory, unload deliveries, and organise the storeroom.
• Support menu development and improvisation of existing dishes.
• Help control kitchen expenses, food costs, and staffing within budget.

• Ability to work shift patterns as required.
