Assistant Cook

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Cook to join our kitchen team at S&K Enterprise. You will support chefs in delivering high‑quality dishes while maintaining strict hygiene standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and cooking food items according to restaurant recipes.
• Wash, cut, peel, measure, and portion ingredients as required.
• Support daily kitchen operations and food‑preparation activities.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment, utensils, workstations, and food‑prep areas.
• Help receive, store, and organize food ingredients and supplies.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures at all times.
• Monitor ingredient levels and notify supervisors when replenishment is needed.
• Participate in kitchen opening and closing duties.
• Perform other kitchen‑related tasks as assigned by management.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in food preparation or restaurant environments is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safe food handling practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced kitchen.
• Good teamwork, communication, and the willingness to learn.
• Physically fit to stand for extended periods and handle kitchen tasks.
• Reliability, responsibility, and commitment to quality and hygiene standards.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as needed.
