Assistant Director, Communications and Outreach

About the role

The Assistant Director, Communications and Outreach leads research communications, crisis‑communication readiness and stakeholder engagement for Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine). The role positions the school as a leading institution in medical education, research and healthcare.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute integrated media and digital communications strategies to raise the profile of LKCMedicine’s research, conferences, innovation initiatives and corporate priorities.
• Lead the Research Impact Reporting chapter of the Annual Report, showcasing achievements and real‑world impact.
• Identify and develop high‑impact research stories to position researchers as subject‑matter experts and secure media coverage.
• Oversee the strategic redesign, content management and performance optimisation of the LKCMedicine website.
• Develop and implement business continuity communication protocols and strengthen internal communications across the School.

Required profile

• Degree in English, Journalism, Communications or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in corporate communications, digital media and/or internal communications.
• Proven track record in media relations, storytelling and stakeholder engagement.
