Assistant Manager, Platform Safety
Grab · Singapore
Job description
About the role
The Singapore Platform Safety team develops and supports programmes that improve safety across Grab's mobility and delivery services, working with operations, product and support teams, driver-partners, delivery-partners, government agencies and community organisations. You will report to the Head of Platform Safety, Singapore, combining data analysis, operational assurance, programme delivery, public liaison and incident management.
Key responsibilities
- Combine safety incident data, operational signals and user feedback to identify risks, test hypotheses and recommend priorities and interventions.
- Review safety processes, case classification and reporting, then strengthen standards, procedures and risk controls.
- Manage assigned safety programmes from planning through implementation, defining outcomes, timelines, budgets, vendors, dependencies and risks.
- Develop safety communications, educational materials, workshops and training for consumers, driver-partners and delivery-partners.
- Act as public liaison for government agencies, law enforcement bodies, industry associations and community organisations, coordinating official requests with Legal, Privacy and other teams.
- Support responses to safety incidents and crisis situations, bringing together teams with different priorities and capturing lessons learned.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in operations, risk management, public policy, business, communications or a related field.
- At least five years of relevant experience in platform operations, safety, risk management, programme management, public policy or a related area, including independently managing complex workstreams.
- Experience managing projects from planning through implementation, including dependencies, trade-offs, budgets, vendors and partner coordination.
- Experience in strategic insights or data analytics, synthesising information from multiple sources and turning findings into clear recommendations.
- Experience developing processes, standards or assurance checks and turning lessons into repeatable improvements.
- Relevant sector experience is useful: engaging government agencies and regulators, working in Singapore's transport, delivery or public-safety environment, developing public-facing communications and training, supporting risk assessments, audits, incident management or crisis response, and using data visualisation or dashboarding tools.
What we offer
- Term Life Insurance and comprehensive medical insurance, plus a flexible GrabFlex benefits package.
- Parental and birthday leave, and volunteering leave for community service.
- A confidential assistance programme for Grabbers and their families.
- FlexWork arrangements such as differentiated hours.
