Senior Executive, Safety

About the role

This role covers comprehensive safety management, risk assessment and compliance oversight in the workplace. You will carry out inspections, develop safety policies, investigate incidents and make sure the organisation follows Workplace Safety and Health regulations and industry best practice.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out regular workplace and environmental inspections to find hazards and unsafe practices
• Develop, implement and review safety policies, procedures and protocols
• Investigate incidents, accidents, dangerous occurrences and near-miss events
• Analyse safety data and reports to spot trends and recommend prevention
• Identify, assess and evaluate risks and hazards, and put in place risk control measures
• Run safety inductions for new employees and safety training and awareness programmes for staff
• Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health regulations and statutory requirements
• Run internal safety audits, reviews and compliance assessments
• Coordinate, develop and implement emergency response plans
• Provide secretariat support to safety-related committees

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Facility or Operations Management or a related field
• Relevant certification such as OSHA
• At least 2 years of experience in safety management
• Experience in healthcare is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
• Good command of English, spoken and written
