Security Supervisor

About the role

Fairmont Singapore and Swissôtel The Stamford, two Accor hotels in the heart of Singapore's shopping, dining and entertainment districts, are hiring a Security Supervisor. The role covers the hotel security control room, access control, visitor and staff management, patrols and emergency response.

Key responsibilities

• Report for duty according to the roster, attend the daily 15-minute pre- and post-shift briefings and wear issued equipment such as Mobitalk, Bluetooth device, torchlight and pocket mask.
• Run the hotel security control room and day-to-day operations, manage access points so that all entries are authorised.
• Manage the Visitor Management System, the Casual Labor system and the handling of official security documents in line with SOPs.
• Monitor CCTV coverage, perform static lobby and convention centre duty, roving security patrols and guest floor patrols.
• Enforce tasks as assigned, coordinate night transport for colleagues and respond to security, safety and medical emergencies, including acting in the Emergency Action Team (HEAT) / CERT Team.
• Handle loss and found matters, lift control and VIP duties, crowd control and ushering, and resolve safe box and door lock issues promptly.
• Manage fire and life-saving system alarms, duress and emergency system alarms, and raise maintenance reports for security systems.
• Conduct key and pass inventory checks, and provide first aid, CPR and AED if required.

Required profile

• Minimum GCE 'N' level.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience in hotels or private security / law enforcement at a supervisory level.
• Officer certification required by local authorities for Senior / Security Supervisor, plus a Company Emergency Response Team (CERT) certificate.
• Occupational CPR and AED, basic firefighting and first aid management.

Required skills

• In-depth knowledge of the CCTV system for preliminary investigations and training.
• Conversant with the various systems in the hotel security room.
• Self-defence, report writing, verbal and written communication, and investigation and interrogation aptitude.
