Assistant Nurse Clinician

About the role

The Assistant Nurse Clinician works closely with the Nurse/Care Manager and multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, cost‑effective, high‑quality nursing care. The role requires strong clinical reasoning, critical thinking and the ability to act as a resource for both patients and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Implement patient care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) based on assessed needs.
• Facilitate admissions, transfers and discharges, and monitor patient progress.
• Recognise early signs of clinical deterioration, perform appropriate assessments and escalate care.
• Execute physicians’ treatment and investigation orders promptly and assist with bedside procedures.
• Provide patient and family education on disease progression, prevention and rehabilitation.
• Review infection‑control practices, ensure compliance and identify improvement areas.
• Plan and deliver in‑service training for nurses and students.
• Supervise the use of medical equipment, Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and clinical workflows.

Required profile

• Advanced/Diploma in Nursing or Bachelor in Nursing.
• Valid practicing licence with the Singapore Nursing Board.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience.
• Strong analytical, teamwork and communication abilities.

Required skills

• Electronic Medical Records (EMR) usage.
• Operation of medical equipment.
