About the role

This contract position supports the surgical team at Novena Hospital by ensuring the operating theatre is ready, safe, and efficiently managed throughout each procedure. No prior experience is required, making it an ideal entry‑level opportunity for candidates with a secondary education who are eager to start a career in healthcare.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures.
  • Prepare operating theatres according to the daily surgical schedule.
  • Check, maintain, and verify readiness of all operating theatre equipment.
  • Safely bag and clear soiled linen from operating theatres, disposal areas, and changing rooms.
  • Bag and dispose of general and biohazard waste in line with safety protocols.

Required profile

  • Secondary education or higher.
  • Willingness to work three rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
