Assistant Store Manager, Kate Spade

About the role

Kate Spade New York, part of the Tapestry portfolio, is hiring an Assistant Store Manager (Assistant Store Leader) for its store in Singapore. The role partners with the Store Leader to maximise store productivity and profitability through leadership, coaching and operational excellence, while setting the tone on the sales floor and elevating service through omni-channel and virtual selling.

Key responsibilities

• Lead client and service: model service behaviours and selling standards, drive omni-channel and virtual selling, and use client books, outreach and loyalty programmes for clienteling
• Empower the team to personalise experiences and resolve customer issues, and lead customer data capture for marketing and repeat business
• Recruit, onboard and coach staff, set goals and review KPIs (traffic, conversion, UPT, AUR); act as Store Leader in their absence and build community networks for recruiting and brand awareness
• Own store sales plans and forecasts, create action plans, and partner with corporate teams to analyse market data
• Maintain brand and visual standards, execute visual directives and communicate sell-through, stock trends and customer feedback
• Oversee opening and closing, cash handling and facility security, manage schedules and payroll budgets, and ensure compliance with safety and loss prevention standards
• Support inventory management, cycle counts and shipment accuracy, and manage live stream shopping sessions

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of store management experience in retail or the service industry
• Experience in a fast-paced retail environment
• Ability to inspire a team to meet and exceed performance standards
• Great team management skills, people-oriented and able to collaborate with cross-functional groups
• Comfortable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, peak busy season and high-traffic days such as public holidays
