Associate Director – Conduct & Compliance Risk (South Asia)

About the role

ANZ is seeking an Associate Director to lead Conduct and Compliance Risk across its South Asia footprint. Based in Singapore, you will work within the Institutional Division’s Conduct and Compliance Centre of Expertise, partnering with frontline teams to embed risk‑aware practices throughout the region.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret and apply Group risk policies, standards and regulatory obligations for Conduct and Compliance risk across Singapore, Philippines, Vietnam, Laos and Indonesia.
• Lead impact assessments and implementation activities arising from regulatory, policy or risk‑standard changes.
• Execute regulatory change programmes, delivering regional governance and supporting Institutional oversight.
• Inform inherent and residual risk assessments for Conduct and Regulatory risks across institutional value chains and countries.
• Conduct thematic reviews to identify control gaps, weaknesses and emerging risks, and support remediation activities.
• Partner with business teams to design, uplift and embed effective risk‑management frameworks and controls.

Required profile

• Significant experience in conduct, compliance or non‑financial risk within a banking or financial services environment.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and risk‑management standards across multiple South Asian jurisdictions.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage complex regulatory change projects.
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
